While ASSP no longer helps to facilitate sponsorship between asylum-seekers and volunteer sponsors, those interested in serving as a sponsor for individuals entering the country can explore doing so through WelcomeCorps. WelcomeCorps only works with sponsors who personally know refugees, which is different than ASSP's work, but is a great resource for supporting those interested in sponsoring someone they know.
